Frequently asked questions.

I’m not a professional artist (or even good at art!) can I still attend?

Oh my gosh YES. Creativity is a beautiful skill we can help you tap into and nurture. At every retreat, there is a blend of artists and non-artists and everyone walks away feeling nurtured and inspired, and envigorated — regardless of the skill level you walked into the retreat with. We will guide you through each workshop from the mindset of a beginner (because we want to lay the foundation for everyone regardless of aptitude) and can taily the instruction from there.

But let’s be clear, the purpose of our retreat is not to learn new skills. You WILL learn new skills, of course, but the purpose is to refresh and reinspire your deepest self so you can return to your life filled to overflowing.

How many people will be at the retreat?

These retreats will be very intimate. The locations we have chosen are designed to be enjoyed with fewer than 20 people in total (including those of us helping to run the retreat) so the retreats will feel close and quiet. We delight in getting to know our retreat guests, so expect to spend time with us over lingering meals as well as in the workshops!

What is the lodging going to be like?

It depends on the location, but we’ll be sharing all the beautiful details once retreats are live!

At the 2023 Desert Retreat, there were rooms available on-site, so the atmosphere was intimate and cozy, even for those who were commuting from a nearby hotel or other lodgings. The rooms are beautifully designed with immense attention to detail and stunning features in each.

In the 2023 Italian Retreat, we stayed on-site in the Villas as the location is quite remote, and expansive. The rooms are gorgeous and well-designed with lots of light and nature throughout.

Do I need to bring my own supplies?

We will provide all the supplies and tools you will need for the workshops. Everything from brushes to pigment to fabric to dye. We do recommend bringing some extra supplies if you would like to paint or create in your free time — plein air painting in the morning while on a walk or drawing in the evening… sounds so dreamy!
